Make time to enjoy sled riding at Chestnut Ridge Park this winter. The park is on the north side of Coopers Rock State Forest. It provides a perfect hill for sleds, tubes, toboggans, snowboards, and cross country skis. It’s a popular spot for winter fun. There’s a 350ft hill with plenty of room for multiple riders, and the warming hut at the bottom of the hill is great for sipping hot chocolate. The park is open during the day and includes a small shop where you can rent or purchase tubes and sleds.

Visit the Chestnut Ridge Park website for more information about the upcoming 2015 Toboggan Festival on Saturday, January 24th, at 1-4pm. It’s an opportunity to bring the kids out fun events like the Toboggan Limbo, Sled Riding, and Snow Graffiti. There’s a small donation of $5 to participate and there’s a back-up date of January 31st in case of no snow. Be sure to save the date!
